Hello and welcome to
Spark Neurodiversity

Originally this website was being for our organisation but we hit burn out and didn’t complete it. We want to still finish the Spark Neurodiversity website however more importantly we want to build an online community for neurodivergent people which is member owned rather than for private gain

If you’re visiting our website to learn more about Spark Neurodiversity below is some good information

We’re a peer-led organisation working to build a strong, inclusive community for neurodivergent people. Our focus is on advocacy, connection, and lived experience leadership. Spark Neurodiversity exists to challenge stigma, amplify our voices, and support each other through the realities of life as neurodivergent people.

Whether you’re formally diagnosed, self-identifying, exploring neurodivergence, or seeking re-assessment, we are here for you at every stage of the journey.

We’re only just getting started but our long-term vision is to grow into a large support organisation that stands beside our community every step of the way. Whether you’re seeking solidarity, practical support, or a way to get involved, we invite you to join us on this journey.

Currently just a collective of people with an idea and mission, we are to develop into an organisation that is at the heart of every Neurodivergent in Australia. We are for our community by our community. We want to advocate for change and deliver practical life changing support. We envision a world where neurodivergent voices are valued, rights are upheld, and no one has to navigate their journey alone.

Only if you say please

Undiagnosed

TL:DR Think you might be Neurodivergent but don’t know where to start, or keep hitting barriers, or need a friend to help you through the journey? This is what we’re here for

If you’ve ever wondered whether you might be Neurodivergent, whether that’s ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, or another form of Neurodiversity you’re not alone.

Many Australians go through life feeling different but never quite knowing why. Getting a diagnosis can be a validating and empowering experience, but it can also be a challenging journey. At Spark Neurodiversity, our goal is to provide guidance, connect you with helpful services, and support you along the way.

While we are not medical professionals, the advice we offer is based on personal experience, community insights, and what we’ve learned from others navigating this journey. Ultimately, if we grow big enough, our vision is to bring diagnosis-related services in-house from the initial referral process to formal assessments (if applicable).

Diagnosed

TL:DR Been diagnosed but now need help getting the right support or finding community? We’re here to help. Or have NDIS and want a peer support worker or better support than organisations run by neurotypicals? We can help with that

Receiving a neurodivergent diagnosis can bring clarity, relief, and validation, but it can also raise new challenges. Whether you need workplace accommodations, NDIS support, or simply guidance on navigating life post-diagnosis, we’re here to help.

At Spark Neurodiversity, we are a community of Neurodivergent people supporting and advocating for each other. Our goal is to help you thrive in a world designed for neurotypicals by making sure you get the understanding, respect, and resources you deserve.

We offer support on both a voluntary and commercial basis, including:

Advocacy

Helping with Centrelink, NDIS applications, workplace accommodations, and guiding family and friends to understand you better.

Disability Support Services

Transport, social support, workshops, events, meetups, daily living assistance, and more.

Peer-Led Support

Whenever possible, we aim to employ neurodivergent peer workers who truly understand what it’s like.
